Local charity benefits from Fife Ethylene Plant safety awareness drive

Fife Ethylene Plant’s (FEP) Site Safety Forum’s ‘Participate’ campaign held safety-focused events, including quizzes and competitions, over a six-week period to raise money for Fife Young Carers, a charity that helps young people who are full-time carers for a sibling or a parent.

Activities including team events where employees were challenged to identify safety hazards in a photograph – all gained points that counted towards the donation to the Fife-based charity.

Safety forum chairman Chris Marriott, said: “There was a really good response from people and the level of involvement we achieved ensured we reached the target to earn the full donation of £1,000 for Fife Young Carers.”
