Presentation of cheque to CHAS

Fife (7 April 2010) -- Staff at ExxonMobil Chemical's Fife Ethylene Plant at Mossmorran have donated £1,000 to Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

The money was raised through raffles at the staff Christmas Dances.

The donation was made on behalf of the staff by Steve Davidson, CPM cost engineer at the plant.

CHAS is a Scottish charity established to provide hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. 

The children's hospice offers professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family.

Rachel House in Kinross, Scotland's first children's hospice, opened in March 1996.  Robin House in Balloch, opened in August 2005. Both hospices were purpose-built and each can provide support for up to 200 families across Scotland each year.
