Let LEGO® ease the way this summer

Leatherhead (1 July 2011) -- Esso will be fuelling the imagination of young travellers in the UK and Ireland this summer with a new promotion in which customers can collect six exclusive LEGO® vehicles.

Running in July and August, the promotion is set to prove a big hit with children and parents alike, providing great additional entertainment to keep the young ones happily occupied on long car journeys.

Customers who spend at least £20 on fuel in a single transaction at participating Esso garages during July or August 2011, will be eligible to buy a toy LEGO® kit for the discounted sum of £1.50 – a small price to pay for in-car harmony. These types of models normally retail for around £4.99.

Six LEGO® models will be available from more than 700 Esso-branded service stations in the UK and Ireland. They include a jet ski, a police dinghy, a quad-bike, an aircraft, a fire engine and a helicopter.

At selected Esso service stations operated by ROC UK Limited or Ireland ROC Limited in Ireland ("ROC"), including those branded On the Run, customers purchasing a top car wash or spending £5 or more on in-store purchases (excluding alcohol, lottery and tobacco products) will also be eligible to buy a toy LEGO® kit.

Drivers can also enter a competition, running at these ROC operated sites, to win an all-expenses paid family trip to LEGOLAND® in Windsor.

The promotion will be supported by a radio campaign and billboard posters in the UK and on-site material to ensure drivers, and their children, are aware of the campaign.

Martin O’Dwyer, Esso’s UK & Ireland Programme Co-ordinator, said: “We are always looking at ways to reward our customers for their loyalty, and we believe this LEGO® campaign will be very popular with parents and kids alike. That is why we are timing the promotion to coincide with the school holidays and give younger car passengers some constructive fun.”

Please note that the LEGO® promotion expires at 11:59pm on 31st August 2011.
