The Awards celebrate the achievements of businesses in the Leatherhead & District area and shine a spotlight on the companies and business leaders that make Leatherhead a great place to live, work and visit. With excellent transport links and business premises, the area is home to businesses of all sizes from world-class corporates to innovative smaller enterprises.
The event was organised by Prowse & Co Ltd in conjunction with the Leatherhead Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors included ExxonMobil, Leatherhead Advertiser, Leatherhead Chamber of Commerce, Barclays Bank, Prowse & Co Ltd, The Gatwick Diamond Initiative, Mole Valley District Council, Mundays LLP, Riverbridge House Business Centre, Surrey Connects and Unilever UK.
More than sixty people gathered to see the award winners receive their trophies and certificates. Clare Cowan from BBC Radio Surrey acted as MC for the evening and guests included Mole Valley District Council leader, Cllr Chris Townsend, representatives from the sponsors, and business personalities and journalists from the Leatherhead and District area. The event took place in the newly refurbished Old Chapel at St. John’s School, Leatherhead.

Innovation in Business Award, sponsored by ExxonMobil.
Winner: Monochrome. (Runner- up: Broadplace Advertising)
Monochrome is a web solutions agency. They build web applications from conception through to fully integrated web systems and mobile applications in native format.

Winner: Positive Autism Support and Training. (Runner-up: Babes on the Run)
Positive Autism Support and Training (PAST) aims to put problems with autism in the past. It offers training on autistic spectrum conditions and pathological demand avoidance for schools, colleges and parents, education support and advice including school observations, coaching and family mentoring.
Laura Kerbey, founder of Positive Autism Support and Training, said: "The most important aspect of winning this award has been raising the profile of PAST. This has allowed more families and schools to hear about the services that we offer meaning that more children, families and professionals who work with children with autism can access the support that we are able to provide.”

Established in 1937, Clark’s Café prides itself on serving a wide range of customers from passers-by to business people. Promoting high quality, good value food and drink is paramount to everything the café stands for. They rely on listening to what their regular customers want from their local cafe and are always trying new food products and drinks.

The Freewheelers Theatre Company brings disabled and non-disabled actors and supporters, production teams and the local community together. They use theatre and dance, wheelchair and voice box technology, multimedia, animations, puppets and shadows to create innovative work.

Winner: Liquid Productions. (Runner-up: Leatherhead Youth Project)
Liquid Productions is a video production company based in Leatherhead. Established in 2004, the company has continued to grow, producing corporate videos and animations for a wide range of clients.
