Who works at FEP?
Our team of around 250 is made up of scientists, chemical, mechanical and environmental engineers, catering, cleaning, maintenance, technicians, analysts, planners and support staff.
Over a third of our team started their careers as apprentices, with many having gone on to hold important positions at FEP or with ExxonMobil in countries around the world.
A large number of our team were born and live locally to the plant, but we also have colleagues from 48 different countries working with us.
In addition, we are also supported by a large number of specialist contractors who are employed by companies from throughout Fife and Scotland.

A bright future awaits ExxonMobil’s latest recruits who have accepted Modern Apprenticeships at Fife Ethylene Plant.
Cammy Sneddon and Nathan Pearse are the latest in a long line of successful young people, stretching back more than 30 years, to join the company’s highly sought-after apprenticeship programme.
The lucky youngsters are looking forward to embarking on a four-year Modern Apprentice course at Forth Valley College to prepare them for a future in machinery and instrumentation engineering.

Various projects on site over the past 12 months have called on the expertise of employees, contractors and students from countries as far away as Australia, Canada and China to name but a few, in addition to the strong local workforce.

Three ExxonMobil apprentices say they are over the moon after securing full-time jobs at the Fife Ethylene Plant (FEP).
Ross Drummond (25) from Kirkcaldy, Zoe Smith (21) from Lundin Links and Daniel Scobbie (23) from Bonnybridge have earned their places at the plant after completing a four year apprenticeship scheme.
