Esso Launches New Thoughtful Driving Campaign

We know that customers want help to use less fuel for many reasons – from saving money to reducing the environmental impact of their driving. And so, Esso has launched a new initiative named ‘Thoughtful Driving’ which aims to help our customers do just that.

There's a lot of information out there and we know that not everyone has the same options when it comes to making changes. So, the Esso marketing team has identified three simple ways to help drivers, as the small changes we make today can help to address the energy challenges we all face.

First, we want to inspire drivers to make one less car journey - perhaps by giving it up or making it differently. Just one way that we are doing this is by encouraging people to cycle instead, and to make this a little easier we are currently giving away an e-bike every day until 27 June!

The second way is to help make the fuel that you do buy go further – so we’ve teamed up with some familiar names like Kwik Fit and Red Driving School. Did you know that you can learn fuel efficient driving techniques, which could improve your miles per gallon (mpg) by nearly 20%!

Finally, when our customers do need to fill up, we want to help them ‘fill up with less impact’. Esso is introducing lower-emission fuels that vehicles on the road today can use, and at the same time we are developing technologies to reduce the emissions created when we produce fuels.

Jane Middleton, Esso Marketing Communications Advisor, EAME Retail Fuels said: “We’re very excited to have launched Thoughtful Driving as we know our customers want help right now. We are working with many brands to bring new offers and helpful tips to our customers. We’ve been delighted to see the initial results from the first weeks of the campaign and look forward to announcing new offers soon…watch this space!”

There’s still a long way to go and much more to do, but Thoughtful Driving gives us a great place to start. Why not join in too? More information can be found at https://www.esso.co.uk/en-gb/thoughtful-driving
